Fort Knox Vault Door

I got a call that a customer's Fort Knox vault door was not opening. After speaking with the door manufacturer, we concluded that there was an electronic lock failure. I drilled the vault door which allowed me to attack the lock and get in into the open position, however, the door would still not open. After several tests, I was able to identify that the external relocker was fired. A relocker is located outside of the safe's lock and is used as a safety precaution to add another line of protection to the vault. I then drilled the relocker and was able to get the door to open.

(This was posted with the approval of the vault's owner.)
