ABOUT US | Belker Banklock

My name is Nick Weber. I was born and raised in Sedalia, MO and currently still reside there with my wife, Tara and our daughter, Kaylea. In our free time, we enjoy going to the lake, riding side by sides, taking our daughter to barrel races with her horses, and spending time with our family! I attended Smith Cotton High School. After I graduated, I went into the work force as an iron worker for a local construction company. I was then promoted to a management position where I oversaw repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment and purchased construction materials. After 21 years in the construction industry, I was asked to join the team at Belker Banklock.

Generation to Generation

Belker Banklock was started in 1943 by Adolph Belker, my wife's maternal grandfather. He started a key shop in Warrington, MO. In 1956, he began working for Yale Lock Company and moved to Sedalia. He became confident in his work and began working on his own in 1975. After 34 years of growing his business, he decided to retire and hand the business down to his son- in- law, Mike Ricker. Mike worked next to Adolph for 4 years and then expanded what Adolph started and owned the business for 37 years. In January of 2018, Mike asked me as his son-in-law to join him at Belker Banklock in hopes for him to retire soon and for me to carry on the tradition. I worked beside him from January of 2018 to April of 2019. He then handed the business over to me after my year and a half of training. Mike is currently semi-retired, but is always a phone call away when I am in need of resources or guidance. My favorite part of my job is traveling to different banks, unlocking their vaults/safes, and seeing a stamp from Adolph that is dated back to the mid 1950s. It reminds me of the history behind the business and inspires me to work hard and continue expanding Belker Banklock to hand down to the next generation.
